RESPONSIBLE INFORMATION PROCESSING

Privacy Policy

How SIA Selig processes personal data received through this website.

1. Data controller and contact details

The personal data controller is SIA Selig, registration No. 40103809077, registered address: Jasmuižas iela 11 - 63, Riga, LV-1021.

For questions about personal data processing and exercising your rights, contact: [email protected] or write to the registered address.

2. What data we process

If you submit a consultation request, we process your first name, surname, email address, service category, description of your enquiry, preferred contact method, and — if provided — your organisation's name and telephone number. A telephone number is required only if you choose to be contacted by telephone. Please do not include special category (sensitive) data or other people's confidential information in your request. Document uploads are not available on the website.

If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the information provided during that communication.

3. Purposes and legal bases for processing

  • Reviewing your request, communicating with you and preparing a proposal — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR).
  • Communicating with an organisation's representative and keeping records of requests — SIA Selig's legitimate interests in responding to enquiries received and ensuring their traceability (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
  • Website security and prevention of abusive submissions — legitimate interests in ensuring the operation of the website (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
  • Compliance with legal obligations, where applicable (for example, retaining accounting documents after a contract has been concluded) — Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR.

We do not use request data for marketing, profiling or automated decision-making.

4. Data recipients

Only persons authorised by SIA Selig have access to the data. Requests are stored in the infrastructure of the website hosting and database service provider, which acts as a processor on behalf of SIA Selig. Requests are not publicly accessible. We do not sell data or disclose it to third parties, except where required by law.

If service providers process data outside the European Economic Area, they do so subject to the safeguards provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR, such as a European Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

5. Retention period

We retain request data for no longer than 12 months from receipt of the request if no business relationship is established. If a contract is concluded, we retain the data for the duration of the contract and for as long as required by law or necessary to protect legal interests. After the retention period expires, the data is deleted. You may request earlier deletion of your request.

6. Your rights

You have the right to request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to data portability. Send your request to [email protected]; we will respond within one month. If you believe your data is being processed without justification, you may lodge a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate (Elijas iela 17, Riga, LV-1050; dvi.gov.lv).

7. Cookies and technical connections

The website does not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, so consent is not requested. The dismissal status of the cookie notice is saved in your browser's local storage and is not sent to us; the notice can be reopened using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the page. Administrator login session data is stored in the browser only for administrators. Fonts are loaded from the website itself — no connection to Google is made. To operate the website, the hosting provider technically processes the IP address and request information.

8. Data security

The website operates exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection, access to requests is restricted through authentication and role checks, and the principle of data minimisation is observed.

9. Changes

We will update this policy if our data processing activities change. The current version is always available on this page. Last updated: 30 October 2026.
